About the National Guild of Hypnotists
The State of New York has not adopted any educational and training standards for the practice of
hypnotism. This statement of credentials is or informational purposes only. Under New York State
law, a consulting hypnotist may not provide a medical diagnosis or recommend discontinuance of
medically prescribed treatments. More information is contained in the "Client's Bill of Rights" which
is presented to every private client at the first session. Seminar participants will be furnished with
one upon request.
The services I render are held out to the public as non-therapeutic hypnotism, defined as the use of
hypnosis to inculcate positive thinking and the capacity for self hypnosis. I do not represent my service
as any form of medical, behavioral, or mental health care, and despite research to the contrary, by law I
make no health benefit claims for my services. Medical and/or psychological conditions may require a
doctor's referral.
